Role Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Gym Instructor to join our fitness team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for instructing group fitness classes across a variety of disciplines, including aerobics, spinning, and strength training, catering to participants of all ability levels. This role requires a passionate fitness professional who can motivate clients, provide expert guidance on exercise techniques, and contribute to a positive and results-driven fitness environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Instruct engaging and safe group fitness classes including aerobics, spinning, strength training, and other modalities
- Design and deliver workout programs suitable for participants of all ability levels, from beginners to advanced
- Provide personalized fitness advice and guidance on proper exercise form and technique
- Monitor participant progress and adjust routines to ensure continuous improvement and injury prevention
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe fitness environment in accordance with health and safety standards
- Motivate and inspire clients to achieve their fitness goals and maintain a healthy lifestyle
- Stay current with the latest fitness trends, techniques, and industry best practices
- Assist with equipment setup, maintenance, and inventory management
Qualifications
- Certified fitness instructor qualification or equivalent certification (e.g., ACE, NASM, ACSM, or equivalent)
- Proven experience in leading group fitness classes in a gym or fitness center setting
- Strong knowledge of exercise science, anatomy, and strength training principles
- Ability to work with diverse populations and adapt instruction to varying fitness levels
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Current CPR and First Aid certification (preferred)
