Step into a foundational engineering role where you will architect and own the load-bearing distributed core of a local-first platform. This is a ground-floor opportunity to define the data model, synchronization protocols, and consistency guarantees that power the entire system.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement convergent state using CRDTs as the core data model
• Build and maintain an append-only operation log for reliable state replication
• Implement hybrid logical clocks for causal consistency across distributed nodes
• Engineer hub-to-edge synchronization and anti-entropy protocols
• Optimize for offline-first performance and conflict resolution at scale
• Collaborate closely with product and frontend teams to define sync semantics

Key Requirements:

• Deep expertise in distributed systems theory and practical implementation
• Strong proficiency with CRDTs, operation-based or state-based
• Experience with logical clocks, vector clocks, or hybrid logical clocks
• Proven track record building sync engines or replication pipelines
• Proficiency in systems-level programming languages (Rust, Go, or similar)
• Ability to reason about consistency, availability, and partition tolerance trade-offs
