About the Job: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Chef de Partie to join the culinary team at a leading luxury hospitality establishment in Doha, Qatar. This role focuses on maintaining the highest standards of food quality, consistency, and presentation within a specific kitchen section. You will work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, contributing to an exceptional dining experience for guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage a designated section of the kitchen (e.g., sauce, fish, grill, pastry), ensuring all dishes are prepared to the exact specifications and quality standards.
- Assist the Sous Chef in menu planning, recipe development, and inventory management for your section.
- Supervise and train junior kitchen staff, including Demi Chefs and Commis Chefs, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to hygiene protocols.
- Monitor food preparation, cooking, and plating to maintain consistency, presentation, and timely service.
- Enforce strict compliance with HACCP and all food safety regulations, maintaining a clean and organized work station.
- Control food cost and minimize waste by monitoring portion sizes, stock rotation, and proper storage techniques.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to execute special events, banquets, and a la carte services with precision.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience as a Chef de Partie or equivalent role in a reputable hotel, fine dining restaurant, or high-volume kitchen.
- Strong classical culinary background with relevant certifications or diploma in Culinary Arts.
- Demonstrated expertise in at least one main kitchen section (saucier, grill, entrements, or pastry).
- Excellent knowledge of food safety standards, hygiene practices, and kitchen management systems.
- Ability to lead a small team, mentor junior staff, and work effectively under pressure.
- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required by the operations.
