Role Overview
Join the iconic Rixos Gulf Hotel Doha as an Assistant Manager, Employee Accommodation and play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional living experiences for our valued team members. Core Responsibilities
- Accommodation Operations Management: Supervise the end-to-end management of employee housing facilities, including room assignments, maintenance coordination, housekeeping standards, and facility inspections.
- Resident Experience & Welfare: Act as the primary point of contact for employee residents, addressing concerns, resolving conflicts, and implementing welfare initiatives that enhance quality of life and foster a positive community atmosphere.
- Vendor & Contractor Coordination: Manage relationships with external service providers for maintenance, cleaning, security, pest control, and laundry services, ensuring SLA compliance and cost-effectiveness.
- Health, Safety & Compliance: Enforce Qatar labor accommodation regulations, fire safety protocols, and hotel brand standards; conduct regular audits and risk assessments to maintain a secure living environment.
- Budget & Inventory Control: Monitor operational budgets, control expenses, manage inventory of linens, furniture, and supplies, and prepare monthly reports for senior management.
- Team Leadership & Development: Lead, train, and schedule accommodation staff (wardens, cleaners, maintenance technicians), conducting performance reviews and fostering a culture of service excellence.
- Onboarding & Offboarding Logistics: Coordinate seamless move-in/move-out processes for new hires and departing employees, including room preparation, key management, and documentation.
- Emergency Response: Develop and execute emergency preparedness plans, coordinate with hotel security and local authorities during incidents, and ensure 24/7 on-call coverage.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Facility Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of progressive experience in employee accommodation, staff housing, or residential facility management within a 5-star hotel or large-scale residential complex.
- Proven track record managing housing for 200+ residents in a multicultural environment.
- In-depth knowledge of Qatar Ministry of Labour accommodation standards, Qatar Civil Defence requirements, and international hospitality housing benchmarks.
- Strong proficiency in Property Management Systems (PMS), CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems), and MS Office Suite.
- Excellent command of English (written and spoken); Arabic language skills are a distinct advantage.
- Valid Qatar driving license preferred.
Preferred Skills & Competencies
- Certification in Facility Management (CFM, FMP) or Health & Safety (NEBOSH, IOSH).
- Experience with sustainability initiatives (energy efficiency, waste reduction, green building practices) in residential operations.
- Demonstrated ability to manage renovation/refurbishment projects within occupied facilities.
- Strong crisis management and conflict resolution skills with a culturally sensitive approach.
- Familiarity with Rixos Hotels or similar luxury all-inclusive resort brand standards.
