Role Overview

We are seeking a qualified PAX Transportation Driver with a valid heavy vehicle license to operate passenger buses within airport operations in Doha, Qatar. This position involves the safe and timely transport of passengers between terminals and aircraft, ensuring compliance with aviation safety standards and delivering high-quality service in a fast-paced airport environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive and operate passenger buses to transport passengers safely between terminals, aircraft, and designated airport zones
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and compliance with safety regulations
• Adhere strictly to airport traffic rules, designated routes, and scheduling requirements
• Assist passengers with boarding and alighting, including those with reduced mobility, ensuring a positive customer experience
• Maintain accurate daily logs of trips, mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents or defects
• Communicate effectively with ground operations and dispatch teams via radio or mobile devices
• Ensure vehicle cleanliness and present a professional appearance at all times
• Respond calmly and efficiently to emergency situations or unexpected operational changes

Requirements

Hard Skills & Qualifications

• Valid Qatar heavy vehicle driving license (mandatory)
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a bus driver or heavy vehicle operator, preferably in airport or passenger transport settings
• Strong knowledge of traffic laws, vehicle maintenance basics, and safety protocols
• Ability to operate communication equipment and follow dispatch instructions accurately
• Familiarity with airport layout, apron driving rules, and IATA/ICAO ground handling standards is a plus

Soft Skills

• Excellent customer service orientation with a polite and helpful demeanor
• High level of situational awareness and defensive driving mindset
• Strong communication skills in English; Arabic proficiency is advantageous
• Reliability, punctuality, and ability to work shift rotations including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Calm under pressure with strong problem-solving abilities
