About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Thermoforming Technical Document and Data Control Specialist to serve as the production-facing owner of controlled engineering documentation and ERP master data. This role focuses on heavy-gauge thermoforming programs, with a strong preference for experience in returnable packaging systems. The specialist will ensure the integrity, accuracy, and accessibility of all technical documentation through SolidWorks and EPDM platforms.

Core Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain controlled engineering documentation for heavy-gauge thermoforming production programs
• Oversee ERP master data to ensure accuracy across all manufacturing systems and workflows
• Administer SolidWorks/EPDM environments, ensuring document version control and compliance with internal standards
• Collaborate with production teams to ensure documentation aligns with shop-floor realities and returnable packaging requirements
• Implement and enforce data governance protocols for technical documentation systems
• Support continuous improvement initiatives by streamlining document control processes
• Coordinate cross-functionally with engineering, quality, and production departments to maintain data integrity
• Generate and maintain bills of materials (BOMs), routing data, and work instructions within the ERP system
• Troubleshoot and resolve data discrepancies between EPDM and ERP platforms

Required Qualifications

• Solid experience in technical document control within a manufacturing or production environment
• Proficiency with SolidWorks and EPDM (Product Data Management) systems
• Hands-on experience with ERP master data management and maintenance
• Understanding of heavy-gauge thermoforming processes and production workflows
• Strong attention to detail with proven ability to manage large volumes of engineering data
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills in a fast-paced production setting
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications

Preferred Skills

• Background in returnable packaging or industrial packaging thermoforming programs
• Experience with ISO quality management standards and document control compliance
• Familiarity with change management processes (ECOs, engineering change orders)
• Knowledge of manufacturing workflows specific to thermoforming and plastics processing
• Proficiency in data migration and validation between PDM and ERP systems
• Strong communication skills for cross-departmental coordination
