We are looking for an experienced Chef de Département maintenance industrielle to join our team in M'Sila, Algeria. The ideal candidate will bring between 3 and 10 years of experience in industrial maintenance management, with a proven track record of leading maintenance teams and ensuring the optimal performance of production equipment and industrial facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate all industrial maintenance activities, including preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance operations across production facilities.
- Lead, manage, and develop a team of maintenance technicians and engineers to ensure high performance and continuous skill improvement.
- Develop and implement maintenance strategies, schedules, and standard operating procedures to minimize equipment downtime and maximize operational efficiency.
- Manage the maintenance budget, control costs, and negotiate with suppliers and external service providers for parts and specialized services.
- Ensure strict compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations within all maintenance operations.
- Collaborate closely with production, quality, and engineering departments to align maintenance activities with overall operational goals.
- Analyze equipment failure patterns, root causes, and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance reliability and reduce breakdowns.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment histories, and spare parts inventory using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
- Prepare and present regular reports on maintenance KPIs, including MTBF, MTTR, and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree (Bac+3 or Bac+5) in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electromechanics, or a closely related technical field.
- Experience: 3 to 10 years of progressive experience in industrial maintenance, with demonstrated experience in a supervisory or department head role.
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of industrial machinery, PLC systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, and automated production lines. Proficiency in CMMS software and maintenance planning tools.
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, manage conflicts, and foster a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
- Analytical Ability: Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills, with experience in implementing Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) or Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) methodologies.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills in French and/or Arabic, with the ability to write clear technical reports and present to senior management.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications in maintenance management, safety (e.g., OSHA), or specific industrial equipment are a strong asset.
