Role Summary
Worley, a global company of energy, chemicals and resources experts headquartered in Australia, is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to join our team in Oman. In this role, you will partner with customers to deliver projects and create value across the entire life of their assets. You will be responsible for leading civil engineering design, ensuring compliance with international standards, and driving technical excellence in energy, chemicals, and resources infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage civil engineering activities for large-scale energy, chemicals, and resources projects from concept through detailed design and construction support.
- Develop and review civil design deliverables including foundation designs, earthworks, drainage systems, and structural calculations.
- Ensure all civil engineering work complies with relevant codes, standards, and client specifications.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (structural, mechanical, electrical) to integrate civil designs seamlessly.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and drafters.
- Participate in project reviews, risk assessments, and value engineering workshops.
- Prepare technical reports, specifications, and tender documents.
- Support site construction activities by resolving technical issues and ensuring design intent is maintained.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in civil engineering, with at least 5 years in the energy, chemicals, or resources sector.
- Professional Engineering (PE) license or equivalent chartered status preferred.
- Proven experience in leading civil design for large-scale industrial projects.
- Strong knowledge of international codes (ACI, AISC, BS, Eurocode) and local Omani regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with clients, contractors, and team members.
- Fluency in English; Arabic language skills are an advantage.

- Regulatory Knowledge – Understanding of Omani building codes and environmental regulations.
