About the Role

Yazaki is a global leader in automotive electrical distribution systems (EDS) and connectivity solutions. We are seeking an EDS Engineering Design Specialist L1 to join our team in Kenitra, Morocco. In this role, you will support the design and development of wiring harnesses and electrical systems for automotive applications, ensuring compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.

Core Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain 3D and 2D designs for electrical distribution systems using CAD software.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to integrate EDS components into vehicle platforms.
• Perform design reviews and validation to meet quality, cost, and timing targets.
• Generate technical documentation, including schematics, bill of materials, and design reports.
• Support prototype builds and testing phases to verify design performance.
• Identify and implement design improvements for manufacturing efficiency and reliability.

Required Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: Entry-level or up to 2 years of experience in automotive EDS, wiring harness design, or electrical systems.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in CAD tools (e.g., CATIA, NX, or similar); understanding of EDS components and manufacturing processes.
• Languages: Fluent in English; French or Arabic is a plus.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with automotive quality standards (IATF 16949, ISO 26262).
• Experience with design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for assembly (DFA) principles.
• Knowledge of electrical simulation tools (e.g., Saber, SPICE).
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
