About the Role
We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Maintenance Planner & Scheduler to join our team in Qatar. In this critical role, you will be responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating all preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities to ensure maximum equipment reliability and operational efficiency. This position is ideal for a professional with a strong background in CMMS management and maintenance planning within an industrial or facility management environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, manage, and optimize maintenance work orders using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to ensure accurate tracking and historical data.
- Plan and schedule preventive and predictive maintenance tasks based on equipment manufacturer recommendations, operational needs, and historical performance.
- Coordinate with maintenance technicians, operations teams, and external contractors to align schedules and minimize downtime.
- Prioritize corrective maintenance requests and allocate resources effectively.
- Review and update maintenance plans regularly to reflect changes in equipment status or production priorities.
- Generate and analyze maintenance reports, including key performance indicators (KPIs) such as schedule compliance, work order backlog, and asset reliability.
- Maintain accurate inventory of spare parts and materials required for scheduled maintenance activities.
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and company policies.
- Assist in developing maintenance procedures and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Planner, Maintenance Scheduler, or similar role, preferably in Qatar or the GCC region.
- Strong proficiency in using CMMS software (e.g., Maximo, SAP PM, Infor, or equivalent).
- Solid understanding of preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance methodologies.
- Excellent organizational, planning, and time-management skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and equipment documentation.
- Strong communication and coordination skills in English (Arabic is a plus).
- Diploma or degree in Engineering, Maintenance Management, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience in industrial, oil & gas, or facility management sectors is highly desirable.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) or total productive maintenance (TPM).
- Experience with data analysis and KPI reporting.
- Certification in maintenance planning or CMMS administration.
