Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Operator Assistant I for Slickline operations to join our team in Qatar. This role supports slickline services in the oil and gas industry, ensuring safe and efficient well intervention operations. The ideal candidate will assist in running and pulling tools, maintaining equipment, and adhering to strict safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation, operation, and maintenance of slickline equipment and tools.
• Support the lead operator in running and retrieving downhole tools during well interventions.
• Perform routine inspections and basic troubleshooting of slickline units and associated gear.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies on the worksite.
• Maintain accurate records of operations, equipment usage, and maintenance logs.
• Collaborate with the crew to optimize job efficiency and minimize downtime.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in oilfield services is a plus.
• Previous experience in slickline operations or similar well service roles is preferred.
• Basic understanding of downhole tools, wireline equipment, and pressure control procedures.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in physically demanding environments and follow strict safety guidelines.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to remote locations.

Desired Skills

• Familiarity with H2S safety, rig safety, and offshore/onsite protocols.
• Knowledge of slickline tool strings, fishing tools, and gauge running.
• Basic computer literacy for data entry and reporting.
