Role Overview

As a Civil Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in delivering end-to-end engineering solutions — from initial conceptualization through to final realization. Core Responsibilities

• Design, plan, and oversee civil engineering projects including roads, drainage, earthworks, and site infrastructure.
• Prepare and review technical drawings, specifications, and calculations in compliance with QCS, BS, and international standards.
• Conduct site investigations, feasibility studies, and geotechnical assessments to inform design decisions.
• Manage project deliverables from concept design through detailed design, tender support, and construction supervision.
• Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, MEP consultants, and clients to ensure integrated, clash-free solutions.
• Perform quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and value engineering to optimize project budgets.
• Ensure all designs meet health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations and sustainability targets.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and CAD technicians.
• Prepare and present design reports, method statements, and progress updates to stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline from an accredited university.
• Minimum 5 years of post-graduate experience in civil/infrastructure design within the GCC region.
• Professional registration or progress toward Chartered Engineer (CEng) or equivalent (e.g., MMUP/UPDA Grade A/B).
• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, and BIM workflows.
• Strong command of hydraulic/hydrologic modeling software (HEC-RAS, InfoDrainage, or similar).
• Proven track record on large-scale infrastructure, highways, or urban development projects in Qatar.
• Fluent in English; Arabic language skills are a distinct advantage.

Preferred Skills & Competencies

• Experience with LEED, GSAS, or Estidama sustainability rating systems.
• Familiarity with Qatar Construction Specifications (QCS) and Ashghal design guidelines.
• Project management certification (PMP, Prince2) or equivalent experience.
• Expertise in ground improvement, pavement design, or coastal engineering.
• Strong client-facing communication and presentation abilities.
