Role Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Commis 3 - Pastry to join the culinary team at The Ritz-Carlton, Doha. As part of our luxury hotel's pastry kitchen, you will assist in preparing high-quality desserts, pastries, and baked goods, ensuring every creation meets the exacting standards of a world-class establishment. Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and production of a wide variety of pastries, cakes, breads, and desserts according to recipes and presentation guidelines.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work station in compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Support the pastry team during service, buffets, and special events, ensuring timely and consistent output.
- Monitor and rotate stock to minimize waste, and assist in receiving deliveries.
- Follow all kitchen procedures, including proper handling, storage, and labeling of ingredients.
- Collaborate with senior pastry chefs to refine techniques and learn new skills.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Commis or trainee in a pastry kitchen, preferably in a luxury hotel or fine dining environment.
- Basic knowledge of pastry techniques, baking principles, and dessert presentation.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with attention to detail.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Formal culinary training or apprenticeship in patisserie is an advantage.
