Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and plan events from conception to completion, including conferences, weddings, and corporate gatherings.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, understanding their requirements and ensuring their vision is realized.
- Collaborate with various hotel departments, including catering, housekeeping, and technical support, to ensure seamless event execution.
- Manage event logistics, including room setup, audio-visual equipment, and décor.
- Negotiate with vendors and suppliers to secure the best services within budget constraints.
- Oversee on-site event operations, troubleshooting any issues that arise during the function.
- Prepare and manage event budgets, tracking expenses to ensure profitability.
- Conduct post-event evaluations to gather client feedback and identify areas for improvement.
Requirements
- Proven experience in event planning, hospitality management, or a related field.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to handle multiple events simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with clients and team members.
- Proficiency in event management software and standard office applications.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by event schedules.
- A genuine passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences.
Preferred Skills
- Experience working within a 5-star hotel environment.
- Knowledge of the local Qatar events market and vendor network.
- Certification in Meeting Professional (CMP) or similar credentials.
- Bilingual capabilities (English and Arabic) are highly desirable.
